GotFrag and Intel are proud to announce the Intel Counter-Strike:Source Invitational tournament. This one day Invitational Tournament takes place on Saturday, February 24th and will feature four of the hottest teams in competitive Counter-Strike: Source�complexity, Team 3D, EFGaming, and Team Hyper! These teams will be battling it out for the latest in Intel Core 2 Duo prizes and major bragging rights.

On one side, we have two of the biggest names in Counter-Strike 1.6, complexity and 3D, who recently switched to playing Source and reshuffled lineups. On the other side, we have two top teams from the Counter-Strike: Source community, also making recent additions to their rosters.

Will the switch from 1.6 to Source hinder 3D or complexity? Will the top teams from Source be able to hold their own against teams who have been at the top of 1.6 for years? On Saturday February 24th, we�ll all find out. In addition to online coverage, the tournament will be broadcasted live all day on GotFragTV, so you won�t miss a thing. Broadcasting the event will be Marcus "DJ Wheat" Graham alongside Trevor "Midway" Schmidt.

Prizes will be awarded for first and second place, and a special prize to the tournament MVP.

coL's win over EFG makes me think they have an advantage. However, I wouldn't count out Hyper.

We have barely touched Train or Inferno yet guys. With such great teams playing, this is far from a coL slam dunk. Should be fun! :)

3D is 6-2 and is the most established gaming organization in North America - they belong.

EFG suddenly losing their leader in Clown basically makes them a no-count for the immediate future. Not to mention how they've lately been playing lousy anyway.

The only team with a hope of beating coL is Hyper!. Not even 3D has a chance.

Kudos to Intel for sponsoring this event with awesome prizes. I just bought that motherboard / CPU combo last week and it is tasty. Glad to see major sponsors giving away top-of-the-line stuff!

*That E6600 Conroe is a monster. I had mine clocked from 2.4 to 3.6 ghz, but was concerned with the temps. With good cooling some people have had theirs stable at 4.0+ ghz. Sickness.
