Details on how the tournament will be played...

The upcoming Intel CS: Source Invitational Tournament will be played out using the following rules and details:

Tournament Stlye: The Intel CS: Source Invitational is a 4 team, 5v5 round robin format tournament with the top two teams from round robin play advancing to the finals.

Round time: 2 minutes

Freezetime: 15 seconds

Match: One map consisting of two halves where each team plays once as defense and offense until a score of 16 is reached by one team. Each match will start with a Knife Round to determine the starting sides.

Finals: The two teams in finals will have played earlier in the day on a map. The map that was played earlier by the teams will be thrown out of the pool, leaving two remaining maps. One map will be called Heads and the other Tails, and a coin will be flipped in the GotFrag TV studio to determine the final map.

Overtime: Consists of two 3-round halves and is to be repeated if necessary. Overtime will be repeated until a winner is determined. Rules will be the same, except start money will begin at 10,000.

GotFrag TV will be available worldwide via Octoshape. Our agreement with the folks at Giga for that last event of theirs was to stream to North America only. For the most part, we will ALWAYS stream worldwide for our events.

i feel that these exhibition events aren't as meaningful; for competitiors and spectators alike.

#8 i disagree. Nightfall's comments after this will be fun to look at. Either they win, and he starts saying how he was right 1.6ers are bad or they lose and he'll just say col practices too much again. That's the real reason I want to watch these matches.
